geography

Chamberlain is located in the Tacuarembó department in sector 10 of the Cuchilla de Peralta . Chamberlains is 289 kilometers from the capital, Montevideo. Closest settlements are in the south Paso de los Toros and Cardozo in the northeast. In the east extends the delta (Brazo del Cardozo) of the Arroyo Cardozo . The Arroyo Guayabos and the Arroyo del Sauce have their source a few kilometers north of the village , while the sources of the Río-Negro tributaries Arroyo de los Molles and the Arroyo del Sauce are in the immediate vicinity.

Infrastructure

To the west of Chamberlains the Ruta 5 passes. The Montevideo - Rivera railway line runs through Chamberlain . The estación Chamberlain railway station located there belonged to the Ferrocarril Central company at the beginning of the 20th century .

At the 2011 Census, the population of Chamberlain was 52, of which 26 were men and 26 women.
