Champion Air was an American charter airline based in Bloomington, Minnesota .

history

The airline was originally founded in 1987 by the then MGM MIRAGE as MGM Grand Air and began flight operations in the same year. Several owners followed and from 1995 the airline flew as Champion Air, which last belonged to Grand Holdings Inc. On May 31, 2008, Champion Air ceased operations due to the high oil price , among other things .

Destinations

Champion Air offered charter flights to eight destinations in the United States for sports teams and travel agencies, but also for the US Department of Defense . Las Vegas , Oklahoma City , Detroit and Denver were served, among others .
