Champion Aircraft Corporation was an American manufacturer of aircraft. The company was founded in 1954 by "Robert Brown".
history
Production began in 1954 at its headquarters in Osceola, Wisconsin , of the Champion 7 series, which Brown acquired from Aeronca Aircraft Corporation . In the 1950s and 1960s, Champion Aircraft Corporation developed a significantly upgraded series of light aircraft. A total of 36 of the type 402 Lancer were built from 1963 to 1965. At the end of 1970 Champion Aircraft was taken over by Bellanca Aircraft Corporation , which continued the Decathlon series.
