A. Bertram Chandler Memorial Award
The A. Bertram Chandler Memorial Award is an Australian literary prize that has been awarded by the Australian Science Fiction Foundation since 1992 for exceptional achievements in the field of science fiction . It honors the memory of the achievements of the Australian science fiction author A. Bertram Chandler, who died in 1984 .
The prize is usually awarded annually by a jury at the Australian National Science Fiction Convention , where the Ditmar Awards are also presented. The recipients are not necessarily SF authors, but also members of the SF fan scene or people who have contributed to the SF's popularity.
