Changle (Pengxi)
Changle ( 常 乐 镇 , Chánglè Zhèn ) is a large municipality in the southwest of the People's Republic of China . It belongs to the administrative area of Pengxi County , which in turn is subordinate to the prefecture -level city of Suining in Sichuan Province . The large community has an area of 56.3 square kilometers and 27,800 inhabitants (2017) and is about 22 km from the center of Pengxis.
The old town of Changle was almost completely demolished by 2016 and replaced with modern shops.
The agricultural area is 14 square kilometers, of which 5.4 square kilometers are arable land. Since 2016 there have been several programs to support and expand agriculture in the larger community. In the case of rice cultivation, the area under cultivation was increased by more than 70 hectares. With special varieties, a yield of up to 774.8 kg of rice per mu (about 1162 kg per 1000 square meters) could be achieved, thus setting a new record for the rice harvest in the hill country of Sichuan. Fish farming operations were set up on a further 70 hectares, and model projects for rice field fish farming on 100 hectares. For pig breeding, there is a newly established farm with over 10,000 animals, three farms with over 1000 animals and 50 farms with over 100 animals.
