Chantal Beaugeant

Chantal Beaugeant (born February 16, 1961 in Saint-Étienne ) is a former French heptathlete .

She took part in the 1984 Olympic Games , but could not finish the heptathlon. At the European Athletics Championships in 1986 , she reached eighth place. In July 1988 she set a new French record in Götzis with 6702 points. At the Olympic Games in 1988 she could not finish the heptathlon again. She also took part in the 400 meter hurdles competition in Seoul. In May 1989 she was tested positive for nandrolone during a doping control and was banned for two years. She was the first French athlete since the tests began in 1976 to be convicted of doping.
