Chao'an

Chao'an ( Chinese  潮安 区 , Pinyin Cháo'ān Qū ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Chaozhou in the easternmost part of the Chinese province of Guangdong . It had an area of ​​1,232 km² and had about 1.18 million inhabitants (2003). On June 28, 2013, what was then Chao'an County was transformed into the current municipality. The large communities Linxi (磷 溪镇), Guantang (官 塘镇) and Tiepu (铁 铺镇) were separated and incorporated into the Xiangqiao district.

Attractions

The Congxi ancestral temple (Congxi gong ci 从 熙 公祠) of Chen Xunian (陈旭 年) in Jinsha 金砂 in the Caitang municipality has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-686) since 2006 .
