Raoping
Raoping ( 饶平 县 , Ràopíng Xiàn ) is a district of the district-free city of Chaozhou (regionally also: Tiuchiu , Teochiu ) in the easternmost part of Guangdong Province , People's Republic of China . It has an area of 1,670 km² and has a population of around 960,000. Its main town is the large community of Huanggang (黄冈 镇).
The Daoyun-Erdgebäude ( Daoyun lou道韵楼), a 500-year-old fortress-like Tulou ( "Erdgebäude") of the Hakka in octagonal shape of the Eight Trigrams ( bagua ), is since 2006 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6- 685) .
