Charakir

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Charakir is a card - gambling for three or more players, depending on the number of players with 32 or 52 cards is played. The game originated in the Middle East and came to Central Europe through guest workers . The way it is played is similar to the Hold'em variants of poker .

Style of play

As a rule, Charakir is played with a classic 32-card Skat hand . The dealer shuffles the cards and lets draw, then he distributes two cards to each player including himself and then lays 5 cards face up in front of him. The remaining cards are set aside. Each player tries to create pairs of the same values from his own hand cards and the open cards. The ranking of the cards is ace, king, queen, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7 and a four of a kind counts more than three of a kind, this counts more than a pair.

Each player now bets, starting with the player next to the dealer (forehand), a bet on his hand of cards or passes and thus gets out of the current game. All players who do not fold must at least keep the bet that has already been announced or increase it. After the bets are made, the cards are revealed and the player with the highest combination wins the game.
