Hold'em

In the category Hold'em (abbreviation of hold them , dt. Keep them ) fall all poker variants , where in the course of a round one or more cards ( community cards dt. Community cards ) are placed in the middle of the table, all Players are allowed to use to form their hand . In addition to this, the players receive hidden hole cards that are only visible to them. history

All variants of Hold'em are derived from a game called Wild Widow , which was first played around 1920. In this game, a card was placed on the table for all players to see for the first time. In recent years, the Texas Hold'em variant in particular has become more and more popular, while tournaments were previously primarily played in this variant, today cash games are almost exclusively played with Texas Hold'em.
