Royal Hold'em

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Royal Hold'em (also known as Royal Poker ) is a variation on the card game Poker . With this variant, all cards from two to nine are removed from the deck , so only 20 cards with a value of ten to ace remain .

Royal Hold'em is played according to the same rules as No Limit Texas Hold'em . Due to the small number of cards that remain in the deck, the maximum number of players is limited to six participants.

Combinations

Since there are only five different card values, namely ten, jack, queen, king and ace, the possible combinations are limited compared to conventional poker. Instead of nine different combinations, only five are possible. The worst hand is a combination of two jacks, two queens and a king as a kicker ; the two unused cards are two tens. This combination is called two pairs . This is followed by the only possible straight , from ten to ace. Then comes the full house . This is followed by the four of a kind , which is only beaten by the royal flush . Compared to normal poker, royal flushes occur more often here, otherwise no flushes are possible.

A drilling is not possible because of the remaining four cards in addition a pair of results (ie a common either Full House ) or each card appears exactly once (that would be a road); both are better than three of a kind.
