Charles Henry Ferguson (born March 24, 1955 in San Francisco ) is the founder and president of Representational Pictures, Inc. , film director and film producer .

Life

Charles H. Ferguson is the director, producer and screenwriter of No End In Sight - Invasion of the Amateurs? from 2007 and Inside Job from 2010. No End In Sight - Invasion of the Amateurs? won the 2007 Sundance Film Festival Special Jury Prize for Documentary Films and was nominated for the 2008 Oscar in the Documentary Film category. Inside Job eventually won the Oscar for Best Documentary in 2010.

Prior to his career as a documentary filmmaker, Ferguson worked in the IT technology field. In 1994 he founded Vermeer Technologies , one of the first internet software companies, together with Randy Forgaard . Vermeer was funded by Matrix Partners, Sigma Partners, and Atlas Venture. Vermeer Technologies developed FrontPage, the first HTML editor . In early 1996, Vermeer was sold for $ 133 million to Microsoft, which integrated FrontPage into the Microsoft Office system as Microsoft FrontPage .
