Chasseur (sausage)
Chasseur (French: " hunter ") refers to dried French salami .
It is a small salami-like raw sausage and long-life sausage with a weight of 60 to 180 g. Due to the small mass, their maturation time is only a few weeks.
The German term Landjäger similarly refers to a long-life type of sausage suitable for travel provisions and to the military meaning of the chasseur similar to the German hunter (military) .
