The Chatham Railroad of New Brunswick was a railroad company in the Canadian province of New Brunswick . It was founded on August 1, 1876, initially as the Chatham Branch Railway and opened its branch line to Chatham in 1887 . It branches off at Chatham Junction (now Nelson Junction ) from the Intercolonial Railway and runs over 13.2 kilometers to Chatham . In 1888 the railway company was renamed Chatham Railroad of New Brunswick .
