Chebel

The Chebel , also known as a field knife chain, was an old Greek measure of length and corresponded to half a Persian Schönus.

  • 1 Chebel = 3 double rods = 12 double steps = 24 steps
  • 1 Chebel = 51,336 Paris lines
  • 1 Hippikum = 40 Chebel
  • 1 Persian or Asian mile = 100 Chebel
