Chelidon

The Chelidon ( Greek Χελιδών "swallow") (today Markiz Dağ) was in ancient geography a mountain range between Lycia and Pamphylia on the south coast of today's Turkey .
The cape in front of the mountain range was called Chelidonion (today Yardımcı Burnu or Gelidonya Burnu). Other names were Hiera Akra ("Holy Cape") or Tauri promontorium ("Cape of Taurus "). The cape marks the westernmost point of the Gulf of Antalya . The Chelidonian Islands (today Beş Adalar) Korydela and Melanippeia lay in front of the cape .
