Χελιδών Chelidon ( ancient Greek ) and χελιδόνι Chelidoni ( Neugriechisch ) means swallow and χελιδονίς or χελειδονίς chelidonís swallow . Due to the legend of Chelidonis , who cheated on the husband of her sister Aëdon and was turned into a swallow, the name became synonymous with mistress in antiquity . Sun has also Prokne that of Tereus , the man her sister Philomela was raped, turned into a swallow.
