Chemie Ingenieur Technik , abbreviated to CIT , is a German trade journal for process engineering , technical chemistry , apparatus and biotechnology . The journal deals with findings from research and development as well as their implementation in technical practice and application in industry.

CIT is a specialist body of DECHEMA , the Society of German Chemists and the VDI Society for Process Technology and Chemical Engineering . CIT emerged from the magazine Die chemical Fabrik .

The magazine's Impact Factor in 2019 was 1.147. In the statistics of the Science Citation Index (Clarivate Analytic) it was listed 105th out of 143 journals in the category “chemical engineering”.
