The Chemical Factory - Subtitled Construction, Building Materials and Processes, Plant Equipment of the Chemical and Allied Industries. Central organ of the chemist , engineer and businessman - was a trade journal for the management staff of chemical factories . The paper was founded in 1926 by the chemist and entrepreneur Max Buchner and edited from 1928 by his son-in-law Wilhelm Eduard Paul Bachmann .

The journal, which is documented by Verlag Chemie , based in Berlin from 1927 to 1941, was published by the Association of German Chemists in cooperation with the German Society for Chemical Apparatus (Dechema).
From 1928 to 1930 the chemical factory was also sold on commission by the Leipzig- based publishing house Haessel . The paper was related to various journals of the Association of German Chemists, for example it was a supplement to the journal for applied chemistry in 1927 . In addition, the sheet itself contained supplements such as the publications German patent applications or the Dechema material sheets and the Dechema material report published by the German Society for Chemical Apparatus .
The chemical factory was later replaced by the title Chemical Technology . The current successor title is Chemical Engineer Technology .
