The Chemistry Letters (abbreviated Chem. Lett. ) Is an international chemical trade journal, by the Chemical Society of Japan is issued. She specializes in the rapid publication of research results and key review articles. All areas of chemistry are taken into account.

Articles were originally printed in English, Japanese, German, and French. Since 1987 only articles in English have been accepted. The maximum number of pages for submitted articles was initially six, but has been reduced to four over the years.

The impact factor in 2014 was 1.23. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks 90th out of 157 journals in the category of multidisciplinary chemistry .
