The Chemisch-Technische Repertorium was a journal in the sense of a repertory that appeared four decades until the beginning of the 20th century . According to its subtitle, it contained “clearly arranged reports on the latest inventions , advances and improvements in the field of technical and industrial chemistry with reference to machines ”.

The paper appeared in 40 years from 1862 to 1901 and not only reported on chemical innovations, but was also devoted to the discovery of drug fraud and food adulteration. It initially appeared in the “Verlag von Rudolph Gaertner” in Berlin , the publisher was Rudolf Gaertner (1817–1880), then after his death in the “R. Gaertner's Verlagbuchhandlung Hermann Heyfelder ”.

The main editor was the chemist and author Emil Jacobsen .
