Chemical sensitization

In analog photography, chemical sensitization refers to the increase in the light sensitivity of the dry plate by Charles Bennet in 1878.

In contrast to optical sensitization ( Hermann Wilhelm Vogel , 1873) as well as orthochromatic and panchromatic sensitization , chemical sensitization does not refer to color conversion or color rendering.
