Chemistry (spelling: CHEMISTRY) is a Japanese duo consisting of the singers Yoshikuni Dōchin ( Japanese 珍 嘉邦 ) and Kaname Kawabata ( Japanese 川 畑 要 ). They were the winners of the 2000 Asayan show hosted by Sony Music Entertainment Japan .

Career

The band released their first single, Pieces of a Dream , in CD format on March 7, 2001. The single then shot to number 1 on the annual Oricon charts in Japan and sold more than 2 million copies. In the course of their career, Chemistry released other singles that reached number 1 on the weekly Oricon chart. The first five albums have also reached the top position in a row.

In South Korea are Chemistry, from the collaboration project to the song Let's Get Together Now known which was sung with many Japanese and South Korean artists. They also recorded a song called Dance with Me with South Korean singer Lena Park .

For Usher's studio album 8701 , the duo recorded a remix version of U Remind Me , which was called KC's Smooth Remix .

Chemistry, in Japan, are also known for the many different advertising contracts.
