Cheng'en Si

The Cheng'en Si ( Cheng'en Temple , Chinese  承恩 寺 , Pinyin Chéng'ēn sì ) is a Buddhist temple in Beijing's Shijingshan district on Moshikou Street, about 20 km from the city center. It was built during the Ming Dynasty in the years 1510–1513 of the Zhengde era. Existing buildings have the Chinese names Shanmen 山门, Tianwang Dian 天王 殿, Daxiongbao Dian 大雄宝殿 and Houdian 后殿.

On the inner walls of the Hall of Heavenly Kings (Tianwang Dian) there are murals of clouds, dragons and people, characteristic of this art in the Ming Dynasty and of great value for your understanding.

The Cheng'en Temple has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2006 (6-298).
