The Museum of the Cherokee Indian in Cherokee (North Carolina) shows the history of the Cherokee Indian people .

The museum tour is essentially structured chronologically. It begins with the settlement of the tribal areas in North America and ends with the visit of Cherokee emissaries in England. Elaborate illustrations convey the way of life and culture of the Indians as well as the problems and effects of the clash with the European settlers.

The life and work of Cherokee personalities such as B. Sequoyah or Nancy Ward are featured. There is also information about the remaining seven Cherokee Clans (Wolf, Deer, Bird, Blue, Longhair, Wild Potato, and Paint Clan) and the Five Civilized Tribes .

At the end of the tour there is a museum shop with literature and souvenirs.
