Chester Dewayne Turner
Chester Dewayne Turner (born November 5, 1966 in Warren , Arkansas ) aka "The Southside Slayer" is a death row American serial killer who murdered at least eleven people between 1987 and 1998. He is considered the worst serial killer in Los Angeles and, alongside William Bonin and Richard Ramirez, one of the worst serial killers on the US West Coast .
Series of murders and convictions
The African-American Pizza Delivery Chester Turner raped and strangled 1987-1998 in Los Angeles, the ten women Paula Vance, 38, Annette Ernest, 26, Anita Fishman, 31, Regina Washington, 27, Mildred Beasley, 45, Andrea Tripplett, 29, Desarae Jones, 29, Natalie Price, 31, Brenda Bries, 31 and one other woman who could no longer be identified. After he was raped in March 2002, he was caught and found on the basis of DNA traces of the ten unsolved murders. Since Regina Washington was six months pregnant and the baby died from her mother's murder, the baby's death was also judged to be murder. He was convicted of all 11 murders on April 30, 2007 and sentenced to death on July 10, 2007 .
David Allen Jones, then 28, had previously been wrongly convicted of three of these murders and had been innocent in prison for 11 years.
In 2011, Turner was charged with four more murders, but pleaded innocence.
