Chief Customer Officer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chief Customer Officer ( CCO ) is the person in management , usually the board of directors , who mainly looks after and is responsible for customer matters. These are usually all activities related to sales , from customer strategy development and alignment, TOP customer service, representation tasks, sales management and controlling, customer complaints (depending on quantity and importance), management of recovery, etc.

Usually it is not a full-time function, but a "secondary task". Coming from America , the arrival of a "sales director" will also increase more and more, especially for companies that operate in a highly competitive environment with strong economic dependency . You can often find "sales directors" or "market area managers" (e.g. in banks ) whose tasks go in the direction described above, but mainly arise from management and controlling aspects. Unless one person is solely responsible for sales and all customers, it is not a CCO in the true sense of the word.
