The Child Abduction Rapid Deployment ( CARD ) is a department of the US federal investigative agency , the FBI , that was established in 2005 and is responsible for the rapid investigation of child abductions .

The CARD team is responsible for solving child abductions and supports the national and local investigative authorities in an investigative and technical manner . It has over 60 specially trained employees who form five groups for the Northeast, Southeast, North Central, South Central and West regions. There is close cooperation with behavior analysts from the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime , which creates perpetrator profiles, and employees of the Child Exploitation Task Force. They are used as soon as a child has disappeared, regardless of whether there is a ransom note.
