The China Bowl Alliance (chn. 城市 碗 联盟) is a Chinese amateur league for American football . It has existed since 2015 and currently has 25 members.

history

The league was founded by former teams of the American Football League of China (AFLC), who were not satisfied with the comparatively limited schedule and other things. In addition, previously independent teams have been included. The first season took place with twelve teams, the second with 20 and the 2017 season with 25 teams.

Game system

The first season took place in the placement format, where most of the wins were counted. For the 2016 season, the league switched to a ranking system similar to that of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Two thirds of the weighting comes from people. The two best-placed teams play the championship in a final game at the end of the season.

Games are scored between teams in the league as well as between a league member and an external team. In 2015 the league played 29 games, 30 games in 2016 and 45 games in 2017.
