Chinese BASIC

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chinese BASIC ( Chinese  中文 培基 , Pinyin Zhōngwén Péijī ) are several different Chinese versions of the BASIC programming language from the 1980s.

Versions

At least two types of Chinese BASIC were modified versions of Applesoft BASIC that took Chinese commands and variables. These versions of Chinese BASIC were installed in Taiwanese Apple clones , among others . One of them was the very successful Multitech Microprofessor II . Another version was shipped with the MiTAC Little Intelligent Computer ( 小 神通 ).

Multitech also produced a Zilog-Z80 -based port of Chinese BASIC for their high-end computer models.
