Trotton with Chithurst

Trotton with Chithurst is a civil parish in West Sussex . It is on the A272 between Midhurst and Petersfield . The census from 2000 showed that there were 129 households on the 768 ha area of ​​the municipality with a population of 328 people, 160 of whom were gainfully employed. There are two churches in the parish, St George's in Trotton with wall paintings from the 14th century and St Mary's in Chithurst . Both are Anglican , but St George's is also used once a month by members of the British Orthodox Church . In 1979 a Buddhist monastery, the Chithurst Buddhist Monastery , was founded in a country house .

The author Thomas Otway (1652–1685) was born in Trotton.
