Cholinergic urticaria

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The cholinergic urticaria , colloquially welding allergy is one of a weakness of the immune system -based pseudo-allergy , ie the body's own immune cells ( mast cells ) can not adequately tackle external factors. The immune system does not react to the sweat. The trigger are the accompanying circumstances such as substances released by the increase in body temperature with an allergy-like effect, for example histamine and leukotrienes . The cholinergic urticaria is therefore also called "exercise urticaria", heat reflexurticaria "or" sweat urticaria ".

There may be a genetic disposition for this second most common form of urticaria .
