Christopher Jay Ritter (born October 29, 1990 in Winnetka ) is an American football player who is mostly used as a midfielder . He is currently under contract with Chicago Fire .
Career
Youth and amateur football
Ritter played for his university's football team, the Northwestern Wildcats , while at Northwestern University . In 82 games for the Wildcats, he scored 15 goals and prepared 14 more. At the same time he also played in the Premier Development League for the Chicago Fire U-23 . There he completed nine games.
Club career
On January 13, 2014, Ritter signed a contract under the Homegrown Player Rule with the MLS franchise Chicago Fire . He made his professional debut on June 1, 2014 in a 1-1 draw against Los Angeles Galaxy .
