Chicago Fire U-23 is an American football team from Bridgeview , Illinois . Since 2001 the team has played in the USL Premier Development League , which is the fourth division in the US league system. You play in the Great Lakes Division of the Central Conference.
Since 2011, the home games have been played in the SeatGeek Stadium (until 2018 Toyota Park ).
Until 2005 the club was called Chicago Fire Reserves. The team is often officially called the Chicago Fire PDL.
history
The Chicago Fire Reserves played in the Premier Development League for the first time in 2001. The Major League Soccer Club Chicago Fire established the team in the league to give young players from the Chicago metropolitan area the chance to develop better. Under this professional supervision, the team quickly became one of the most successful in the PDL.
In the first seven years, the Reserves was always able to win the respective division title of the regular season. In 2003 and 2009 the team even made it to the national finals.
In the 2010 season, Premier did not make it into the play-offs for the first time in nine years.
The team has been called Chicago Fire Premier since 2006.
