Chicago metropolitan area
The Chicago metropolitan area (also known as Chicagoland ) has around 9.3 million inhabitants. It extends over several counties in the US states of Illinois , Indiana and Wisconsin . Approximately 40 metropolitan areas have an even larger population than the Chicago metropolitan area.
