Timothy Ream (born October 5, 1987 in St. Louis , Missouri ) is an American football player. He has been under contract with the English first division club FC Fulham since summer 2015 .
Youth and college
Ream attended St Dominic High School and was selected for the 2005 NSCAA All-Midwest Region selection. During his time there he set a school record of 39 submissions. By the end of high school, he had many awards.
He attended Saint Louis University from 2006 to 2009 , where he played for the college team Saint Louis Billikens. During this time he also played for the Chicago Fire Premier in the USL Premier Development League .
Club career
New York Red Bulls
After college, Ream was selected in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft by the New York Red Bulls in the second round. During the preparation for the 2010 season he impressed coach Hans Backe with his performance. The defender made his debut in the first game of the season. In the game against Chicago Fire, he played the full length of the game. On September 11, 2011, he scored his first goal in the MLS. In his first year as a professional he was on the field at all Red Bulls games and managed to win the Eastern Conference with the team.
Bolton Wanderers
In January 2012, Ream signed a contract with Premier League agent Bolton Wanderers until the end of the 2014/2015 season. On July 6, 2014, Ream signed a contract extension until summer 2017.
Fulham FC
Despite the current contract, Ream moved to Fulham FC a year after his contract extension in Bolton .
National team
On November 11, 2010 was appointed to the national team of the USA . His first international match was on November 17, 2010 in a friendly against South Africa. He was part of the starting grid and was substituted in the 67th minute.
