Ivan Ricardo Neves Abreu Cavaleiro (born October 18, 1993 in Vila Franca de Xira , Lisbon ) is a Portuguese football player who is currently under contract with Fulham FC in the Football League Championship .

Career

In the club

Ivan Cavaleiro comes from the youth of the Portuguese record champions Benfica Lisbon . With the reintroduction of Benfica's B-team in 2012, Cavaleiro immediately became a regular in his first professional season. After a strong first season and a good start to the 2013/14 season, Cavaleiro made the leap into the first team.

In the national team

Ivan Cavaleiro has gone through all stations from the U17 to the U21 national team of Portugal . With the U20 selection, he took part in the U20 World Cup in 2013 , where he was used in four games. On August 14, 2013 Cavaleiro made his debut in a friendly against Switzerland for the U-21 selection. The game ended in a 5-2 win with Cavaleiro scoring a hat trick. On March 5, 2014 Cavaleiro was under coach Paulo Bento made his debut in the senior team .
