Bristol City

Born from his own youth academy, Bobby Reid made his debut on May 7, 2011 at the age of eighteen for Bristol City in a 3-2 home win over Hull City in the Football League Championship 2010/11 . In November 2011, the club loaned him to the fourth division Cheltenham Town , for which he only played one league game. After three appearances for Bristol in the Football League Championship 2012/13 Reid was awarded again, this time to the third division club Oldham Athletic , for which the midfielder was used in seven league games.

In the Football League One 2013/14 Reid was used in 24 league games and scored his first goal on December 14, 2013, which, however, could not prevent the 1: 2 home defeat to Rotherham United . He spent the 2014/15 season with short breaks on loan at the fourth division club Plymouth Argyle , where he scored 3 goals in 33 league games. Bristol City rose in Football League One 2014/15 as third division champions in the second division, so that Reid could prepare for the start in the Football League Championship after his return at the end of the season . In the next two seasons Reid was used regularly, but ended up with his team only in the lower third of the table.

In 2017/18 , Bobby Reid was able to significantly increase his hit rate and with nineteen goals he had the third best goal haul in the league. Bristol City finished the season in eleventh place after a long time there had been good prospects for a place in the play-offs. As an award for his good performance, he was voted into the PFA Team of the Year of the second division at the end of the season .
