Christian Coalition of America

The Christian Coalition of America (CCA, Christian Coalition of America ) is a political US-American interest group with a Christian- conservative orientation. The CCA brings together Christian fundamentalists , evangelicals , Pentecostals , Catholics and members of moderate Protestant churches . According to its own information, the CCA has 1,200,000 members, but other sources assume a membership of 300,000–400,000. The organization is based in Washington, DC

The CCA publishes election recommendations before elections at federal and state level and sends out newsletters in which information is provided about current legislative proposals. In many destinations, the CCA is consistent with the religious right ( religious right match). The CCA describes itself on its website as the “[…] largest and most active conservative and community-oriented political organization in America. The Christian Coalition of America offers devout people a helping hand to be actively involved in shaping the state - from the district court to the houses of congress. "

The association was founded in 1989 by the influential television preacher Pat Robertson , who served as its president until 2000. Then was Roberta Combs acting president until 2006 by Joel C. Hunter was replaced.
