Christian Eitner

Christian Eitner (born March 5, 1966 in Braunschweig ) is a German composer , musician and music producer .

Life

Christian Eitner attended the Neue Oberschule in his hometown Braunschweig and took lessons on the accordion, guitar, bass and piano. After graduating from high school, he studied English at the TU Braunschweig , worked in various recording studios and dealt intensively with midi sequencing and sampling. After various band and studio projects, he developed the electronic band “Dancing Fantasy” together with Ingo Meyer in 1989, which led him to tour the USA several times.
In 1994 Eitner founded the Jazzkantine as a producer and bassist , which after seven albums and around 1000 concerts is still active today in various line-ups. Together with Matthias Lanzer (Rap Nation Records), Eitner runs the business of Monofon Musikproduktions GmbH with a recording studio, management and label.
Since 1999 Eitner has been a regular composer, arranger and musical director of incidental music a. a. at the Staatstheater Braunschweig , often in collaboration with the author and director Peter Schanz .
Since 2007 he has been the artistic director of “Pop meets Classic” in Braunschweig. In 2011, in a co-production by Monofon GmbH and Undercover GmbH, the winter theater in the mirror tent at the Martinikirche, Braunschweig, opens its doors for the first time. Since then Eitner has worked there as artistic director and, together with Peter Schanz, brings various pieces to the premier performance, including a. the nativity play "The Braunschweiger Weihnachtsgeschichte" (The Braunschweig Christmas Story) with continued success
