Christian Franke (born February 15, 1956 in Nuremberg ) is a German singer, composer and producer.

Life

Christian Franke recorded his first single I wish you hell on earth in 1981 , with which he had his greatest success so far. The song was on the Media Control charts for 26 weeks . The high- pitched final note of the song achieved by the voice in the head is characteristic . It was followed by the singles What if and When you go, the sky does not collapse, which also made it into the charts. In the 1990s he concentrated on his work as a producer (including for Udo Juergens).

In 2002, after 20 years, the album Exactly Like You was released . A year later a CD was released with his old hits. In 2009 the single Geh nicht fort (Guardian Angel) was released, with which Franke celebrated his commercial comeback. In 2010 the singles If you go now (tears never fall) and Because we love were released, but were less successful. With Der Apfelbaum , produced by David Brandes and accompanied by Edward Simoni , Franke entered the charts again in 2011 and at number 45, the highest position since the 1980s. In April 2012 the album Leben! together with Edward Simoni.

Christian Franke lives in Saarland, is married and has a son named Marvin.
