Edward Simoni
Edward Simoni , bourgeois Edward Krok (born August 7, 1959 in Beuthen , Upper Silesia ), is a German-Polish pan flutist or multi-instrumentalist as well as composer and arranger .
Life
Edward, who grew up in Poland, began taking violin and piano lessons at the state music school in Bytom at the age of seven .
At the age of 14 he learned the flute . In addition to the piano, the flute also became his main instrument at the state music school in Königshütte (Chorzów) , Upper Silesia. Later he learned autodidactic the pan flute, with which he recorded several records. His first album earned him a gold record . Two of his albums have since been awarded gold and platinum respectively.
In 1991, Edward Simoni was the first instrumentalist on this show to appear in the ZDF hit parade in Berlin and took first place twice in a row with his own composition Pan-Träume .
In addition to James Last , Edward Simoni has worked with many international artists, including a. with the Russian harpist Tatjana Seyffert and the tenor Francisco Araiza from Mexico. Edward Simoni has also recorded duets with Christian Franke and harmonica player Michael Hirte . With the title Der Apfelbaum (in a duet with singer Christian Franke) Simoni reached the German single charts for the first time.
Edward Simoni's music can be assigned to Easy Listening and E, light and F music . In general, however, his musical development was influenced by classical and rock music , which gives him a broad musical spectrum, ranging from romantic to melodic techno .
Edward Simoni's role models who shaped his musical work include: a. the British flutist Ian Anderson ( Jethro Tull ), the American violinist Jerry Goodman , the Czech keyboardist Jan Hammer and the Greek keyboardist Vangelis . In addition, Edward Simoni has been musically inspired by the Polish band The Red Guitars (Czerwone Gitary) since his youth , especially by the melodic compositions of Seweryn Krajewski .
