Christian Kreth

Christian Kreth (* 1878 ; † 1963 ) was a German swimmer who was active in the late 19th century. He started for Oberweser Bremen .

At the German Swimming Championships in 1898 , he won the 100 m freestyle title. He was supposed to take part in the Paris Olympics in 1900, but was unable to attend for family reasons. He was an honorary member of the BSV (Bremen Swimming Club). In 1953 he was honored for his achievements by the Bremen Senate.
