Christian Petersen (football player)

Christian Petersen (born June 6, 1983 ) is a former German football player .

career

Petersen started with American football in 1994 and went through the youth department of the Braunschweig Lions . From 2002 to 2017 he wore the jersey of the Braunschweig men's team. During this time, he became German champion eight times (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016) as well as 2003, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Eurobowl winner. Petersen was German runner-up with the Lower Saxony in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2017, in the Eurobowl he had to admit defeat with the team in 2002 and 2014. Petersen (1.78 meters tall and weighing 92 kilograms) held the position of defensive back . At the beginning of August 2017, he set a club record with his 242nd game. Petersen came to international matches for the German national team, but did not take part in any major tournament (EM, WM or World Games).
