Christianssands Bryggeri (CB) is a Norwegian brewery based in Kristiansand . Together with Hansa bryggeri in Bergen and Borg bryggeri in Sarpsborg it forms the Hansa Borg Bryggerier ASA , which is the second largest brewery group in Norway after Carlsberg (with the Ringnes brand ).

CB was founded in 1865 by Consul Ole Jacob Mørch. In 1895 he had to sell the brewery, along with the remains of his other companies, as a result of the bad times after the Crimean War . The brewery was sold to consul Jørgen Christiansen, who restarted production in autumn 1895. Kristiansand had about 11,000 residents at the time, making the brewery an extremely successful business.

The Christiansen family ran the company for five generations until 1964. After that, the shares were sold to Tou Bryggeri in Stavanger. Since then, the CB has had several owners: the investor group Sørlandvekst, the Swedish brewery Spendrups and, since 1999, Hansa Borg Bryggerier ASA.

All CB products are brewed with water from the Kristian des IV spring. This spring was found in 1932, during an extraordinarily dry summer, when company employees were believed to have been dowsing around. Crystal clear and 100% pure water was found at a depth of 32 meters, which maintains a stable temperature of 7 degrees Celsius in both summer and winter.
