Christian Association of Young Merchants

The Christian Association of Young Merchants in Basel was founded in 1892. He set himself the task of offering young traders a religious exchange and providing them with professional training. The background was the Christian Association of Young Men and its World Federation from 1855 (Paris).

Over time, in addition to religious offers, foreign languages, shorthand , bookkeeping, etc. a. Training courses offered. The association was a founding member of the commercial association and its vocational school.

A. Emil Wirz-Böhner joined the association in 1946 and became its president for many years (at least 1960–1979).
