Christoph Bühler (sociologist)

Christoph Bühler (* 1963 ) is a sociologist and professor at the University of Hanover .

Bühler studied sociology at the University of Munich and then moved to the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock. His areas of work were fertility , decision-making in reproductive medicine, social networks and sociological aspects of the 1989/90 turn . In this context, he also researched the start- ups in the Leipzig area.

Since 2010 he has been head of the department for empirical social research , population development and micro-sociological theory at the University of Hanover . He is also continuing previous activities in the gender issue (GGP program).
