Christoph Bratmann (born September 23, 1969 in Braunschweig ) is a German educator and politician ( SPD ). He is an elected member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

biography

Bratmann grew up in Wendeburg and attended secondary school. He first completed an apprenticeship as a printer, followed by attending the technical college for design and studying social pedagogy at the Braunschweig / Wolfenbüttel University of Applied Sciences. In 1999 he received a diploma in educational sciences with a focus on adult education at the University of Hildesheim. Since then he has been working in the school sector.

politics

From 2007 to 2011 Bratmann was chairman of the SPD local association Braunschweig-Innenstadt, from 2011 to 2015 he was chairman of the Braunschweig sub-district of his party. In 2011 he was elected to the Council of the City of Braunschweig and has been chairman of the SPD parliamentary group since 2015. In the state elections in Lower Saxony in 2013 , he won the direct mandate in the Braunschweig-West state electoral district , which he won again in 2017.
