Christoph Hahnheiser

Christoph Hahnheiser (born October 14, 1962 in Sindelfingen ) is a German film producer who runs the Black Forest Films GmbH production company in Berlin with Josune Hahnheiser .

Life

In 1992, Christoph Hahnheiser co-founded the Cologne production company Schlemmer Film GmbH. Other shareholders were the Dutch producers Kees Kasander and Denis Wigman. Christoph Hahnheiser managed this company until 2004. A selection of his early film productions were Das Baby von Macon by Peter Greenaway and Act in Question by Alejandro Agresti. In the years that followed, Christoph Hahnheiser's oeuvre was characterized primarily by award-winning international productions such as Poussieres d'Amour by Werner Schroeter and The Flying Dutchman by Jos Stelling.

In 2002 Christoph Hahnheiser founded Black Forest Films GmbH in Berlin, which he has been managing director and producer since then and with which he has produced twelve feature films over the past ten years. In his capacity as a producer, Hahnheiser is one of the most important people in the German film industry.

Christoph Hahnheiser is married to the film producer Josune Hahnheiser. Josune Hahnheiser has been a partner in Black Forest Films GmbH since 2010.
