history

After a parish of the Old Lutherans was founded in 1836 , there was initially a prayer room in the building at Große Arche 14 in Erfurt's old town from 1844.

In 1913, the Christ Church was consecrated as the new church of the community. It was created in neoclassical style on Tettaustraße southwest of Erfurt's old town. Between 1973 and 1976 the interior of the church was restored. In 2009 the church and rectory were thoroughly renovated.
